I have put a copy of the motivation acticle
on the site. This is a time honoured extract from the GNU distribution,
which I expect everyone has read.
MylesC>Why do we need the "without buying in to various obsolescent
MylesC> technologies and cultural edifices".
Well we don't really, but I am trying to point out that
there are more efficient methods of working but that they should
be depricated by Paneris because they carry with them ideological
baggage. In particular we would all profit by having a boss who
could tell everyone what to do and when to do it and by borrowing
a large amount of money from a bank and buying new hardware and M$ software. However my point is that everything on Paneris can be obtained and used
free off the web. (This is why I have such problems with the use of M$ Access
for panerisdev; my inability to mirror panerisdev seem to prove the point). This is why the specification of the required tool set
is important.I am reluctant to change the other words, as they do have
significance for me, but would like to poll others.Just because the Thatcher generation can't spell 'International Proles' is no
reason not to use the term.
I do think that we need to have an 'Ideological Buy In' for Paneris People,
and think that we need to get it voted on before inviting many more people
to join. This 'Buy In' needs to be written down, possibly by MylesC
as he seems to be the holder of the minimal set, as I have had many chats
but find that memory fails me and others.yours
