>Hi Myles,

>As you are no doubt aware, I have created a the new node for the edit systems project. The node is password protected so when you need to get in give me a bell.

>I am continuing to work on the spec, much of which represents a reiteration of functions and behaviours in various tools. The consequence of this is that you may be able to share code between a range of tools, but even if you don't, it should be pretty obvious what is required in each case.

>I have also removed the need for a separate Accounts Admin tool by integrating the functions into the Diaries and Hints & Tips tools following the methodology employed in the News section for categories with very few exceptions. I hope this will not simplify construction of the tools, but also make it more "user-friendly".

>As I will no doubt have most of the spec re-written today, I would like us to get together and go over the spec so-far together to high-light any concerns etc. As I mentioned before most of the specs for the individual tools will represent lengthy reiterations of functions from other tools. I therefore feel it would be most productive given the time scales for us to get the meeting out of the way and for me to type up (cut and paste, cut and paste) the remainder of the final spec and build the prototypes, which should then represent our finalised agreement. When would be convenient for you?

Super. What about tonight after work? Around 6pm?

To me, though, the prototypes (skeletons) are more useful than the specs.

>I am hoping to arrange for hosting to begin for the front-end site as of 14th June. Please advise as to how any delay in this might affect you ability to complete the work on target so that I may in turn advise our client should any such circumstance arise.

We can put up demos on our development server, so we only need
worry that the site is available at least 3 working days before
the stuff from this project is due to made live.
