Company History
At Edinburgh I was contacted by Bruce Hunter,
head of SGML Engineering.
He contracted me to write a translator for Quark Express.
On moving to Oxford I did a number of small jobs including
a database design proposal for AVSeawork.
Through Bruce I was recruited to Catalyst Electonic
Publishing by
Phil Bacon, the Technical Director.
Currently I am working primarily through
PanEris, the collective I founded.

Employment History
Between my first degree and my Masters (nine years)
I worked for Vosper Thornycroft, a warship builder in Portsmouth.
Starting as a trainee programmer I progressed to Project Manager with reponsibility for a
5 million pound budget for programming labour and computer equipment.
Catalyst Electronic Publishing is the UK distributor of
Folio Views, a multi media viewer.
This viewer has all of the functionality of HTML.
As Senior Technical Consultant I report to the Technical Director. The task
involves planning and implementing the translation of legacy documents into
the Views language.
The documents translated vary from very low-level typesetting documents to
modern systems such as Word 6.
In addition Views has a WWW server which enables
Folio Views Infobases to be served onto the Web.
I-Way is one of the leading ISPs in the UK.
With their success in network provision has come a considerable amount
of website implementation which has been undertaken by myself and
my associates.
