Well, I have, at last (6 days), gotten Apache (1.1.3),
JServ (1.0b1) and webmacro to work on my Win 95 machine.I must say that the examples in Jserv (and in Ari's article)
and in webmacro are very confusing.I imagine I am one of the few people who have moved from
Perl and Website to Java and Apache in one go, so perhaps my
ignorance is not expected :)As the \ character is the line-continuation character
used by the jserv initArgs loader I had to change
WebMacro.properties to use / in file names.It was not clear what the relationship between the zone
properties (Apache JServ/conf/webmacro.properties) and
the webmacro supplied properties was/is, I tried
to move everything into the zone properties, but this did not work.Nor did all the other things I tried:
Apache 1.3.4
Jserv 1.0.b2
jdk1.1.6 (well probably didn't cause a problem)However I am pleased to have got it working, and thanks
to all those who made it.
