Mine too with the proviso that JRun's is definitely not
uncontroversially free. In fact it seems to say "you
can use this yourself but you can't use it for customer
jobs" (go and look).

It seems to me either that the servlet API is difficult---
in which case we might not want to use it---or, more likely,
it's easy and we can knock up something
with the right 40% of the functionality. Perhaps something
which worked via a trivial CGI C program connecting to
a running Java server.
