I would love to use it for Paneris to see how well it stands up.

We can't deploy it on customer sites, at least not on big busy ones,
because we don't know how bulletproof it is, and of course we can't
know that until we have deployed it :(.

I did a trawl of the news archives last night and wrote to some people
asking for their experiences. Two had evidently been bitten badly by
MS SQL Server and said they would rather use Postgresql as being more
stable---I await their emails with interest. But even if we had good
evidence that it works "as well as" SQL server that still wouldn't do.

I don't know what Oracle costs but ADABAS seems to cost hundreds
rather than thousands of dollars and Solid looks quite affordable.
