There are a couple of problems with making it the
default view on Paneris, especially for more casual
users and partners/customers:

1) links to directories don't really work (see below)
2) You can get into different nodes using the right
hand frame, but the left hand frame won't reflect
that change.

Note that both of these wouldn't be problems if we could
read the URL of the right hand frame from the left hand
frame. Unfortunately, by default, the URL is tainted (see
Javascript security) and so any script that tries to
access the URL of a page not on Paneris will die with
a nasty error message.

Directories

At the minute if you ask for any directory, including
the root one, you get index.html. Try clicking on any
of the links from the welcome page to see the affect!

If we are going to have different, configurable views we
need to change this - we need to run a scipt to pick the
appropriate content to return: Just the subject.shtml
(for expander) dosview.html or index.html
(for "Paneris Classic" :-)

This would help with the problem of identifying directories
and scripts which I think we need to properly integrate
Paneris and PMS. For instance, I would like to see each
persons page actually be a template which is a cross between
the PMS people report (so you get up-to-date addresses and
all that) and the Paneris people page (so that people can
ammend it to their taste). All we need is a bit of metadata
about each node (or node type), run a script and Voila!
We have a fully configurable site which handles a filesystem
and a database...

But that's all a PanerisII thing.

Fixed.
