I have amended the proposal as per yesterday's conversation. The proposal is accessable from the above url.
As discussed, I expect to report progress to you frequently, additionally, please take a look at the project report which records the hours we all spend on the project.
Also, I will be invoicing for 25% of the project today, your invoices are available from the above url. I will let you know when I have put it in.
As discussed, please can you send me any (all) designed material that finsbury have, this will be used by the designer as a basis for the web site design. Additionally, any URLs of sites where you like the design would be extreemly useful.
This message has be posted to you by the Paneris messageboard system (go to your project page and click on the "messages" link at the top). The system is slightly flawed as you cannot simply 'reply' to the emails sent out by the board, but must actually visit the web site in order to reply. This (and the requirement to use better technology) is why we are rewriting our messageboard technology for this project.
Everybody involved with the project will be automatically coppied on all posts on the messageboard.
As discussed on the phone, the following items need immenent action:
1) Brief designer
2) Purchase web space
3) Build skeleton site
4) Do database designI will ask our chosen ISP (www.maytech.co.uk) to set up the webspace (and access to database etc) today. I will ask him to bill you directly (£500 for the 1st year, as per the proposal). Please get back to me if this is not OK.
The site will be hosted on a server in MAE East. This is essentially the center of the internet (together with MAE West), and so offers excellent connection speeds.
