What actually happened

Finally bought a Pace Ultralink ISDN Terminal Adapter from Dave Cook Cambridge ISDN (01223 495929).

This is a nice little box, but comes with little or no help.

Here is an ISN overview I was sent the modem initialisation settings by email from Mark Shaw

ISDN Line

The ISDN line is an ETSI (European Telecom Standards Institute) line (ISDN 2E), not an old BT ISDN line; there are little, (but important:) differences between the two.

It is also known as an NTE Number 8.

The NRCC in London have consistently had problems ringing in, as did the BT engineer (Graham from ISDN busness test (154)) when he tested the line, but he says the line is fine, so thinks the Pace Ultralink is to blame.

So I spoke to Mark at PACE;

We did the following:

at$z
at#nbpots1=
at&w
at#z
Which seemed to work.

12/03/98 Phoned Pace

at
OK
ats114=115
OK
ats124=0
OK
at#w
OK
at#z

SO I rekon that the from scratch string should be:
at&f
OK
at$z
OK
at#nbpots1=
OK
ats114=115
OK
ats124=0
OK
at&w
OK
