FAO Mr Kevin Rogers
Dear Sir,

I am the proud owner of a Casio QV10A Digital Camera and the sole proprietor of Context Computing.

Context Computing is a loose partnership of self employed computer professionals specialising in World Wide Web applications. Our business is managed through our website at http://www.paneris.co.uk .

Photo Opportunity

I intend to take my camera and portable PC to Glastonbury Festival, from 25th of June to 29th June, take large numbers of photographs and put them on the Web.

The plan is to give cards to people photgraphed with the web address (URL) of the photo album.

I would be very keen for Casio to have official involvement with the site as a sponsor.

Enthusiasts Website

In addition I would like to offer our services to write a website for Casio Digital Camera enthusiasts. I already have a web based personal photo album which is searchable:

http://www.paneris.co.uk/tim/diary

I have done some research into the communication interface between the PC and QV10A; unfortunately most of the pages on the web have been unofficial and written in Japanese.

What enthusiasts really need is the official interface specification; is it freely available?

Your existing site

Your existing site does not, I fear, do you justice. The Casio range of cameras have rave reviews on the web, and my colleagues and I feel that it is the best thing since sliced bread, but your website does not help us get more out of the machine.

At the risk of teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, the Web is about fostering community and empowering people. The Casio Digital Camera really does empower people, both at home and work, the first place I looked for help with images and technical specifications was your web site, which was found with ease, but I then had to ring directory enquiries to get your phone number!

If Casio would be interested in either sponsoring a photo site, an enthusiasts site or have consultancy on how to improve your existing site please contact me.
