Site development plan – clickworldwide.com

We have a graphic artist and designer who is designing our logo and templates for the Home page, Country pages, Region pages, Accommodation pages - we hope to have these completed by the weekend. We will then need to go through the site construction with yourself or whichever designer you intend to allocate to this project.

Proposed Site layout

Site will comprise of a welcome page with static links leading to ‘Key to France’, ‘Key to Switzerland’ etc. This country page will probably include at least one general photograph. The static links will include the following;

Index page for the countries will include a clickable map showing the various regions, with the regions also presented in text form (see www.connecteurope.co.uk/indexfrance.htm as an example.

We also intend to include in due course an events search facility on the Index page for each country (see Access file in your possession for categories, regions etc).

From the Country index page, visitors are taken to the regional page, with a brief description of the area which will contain at least one general photograph and a link to the interests and activities in that area. A one-line summary of the accommodation in the area, with a thumbnail image of each, will be given, from which you are taken to the individual accommodation page.

Accommodation database

Data for individual accommodation web pages;

Accommodation pages will all contain a number of images (max 8) which we already hold on our hard drive as JPEG or GIF images, and will link to reservation enquiry form and area information page.

Reservation enquiry form

Auto allocate an enquiry ref. number. The form should pull forward the accommodation reference number from the accommodation page.

Request the following data;

We require a ‘shopping basket’ arrangement whereby clients can make a selection of accommodations for a tour of Europe, but make just one submission to ourselves. Submission should be followed by a message - ‘Thank you for your enquiry. We will respond with availability within 24 hours wherever possible’.

Once we have received the client’s agreement for the reservation, he will need to make payment. We will require the correct scripting etc to be built into the site to allow us to use Secure Trading credit card clearance. Please outline how this will work in practise.

Confirmation of reservation form, from us to client

Once payment is received, the reservation will be confirmed to the client. Data will in principle be taken from the enquiry form, although this should be open to amendment by ourselves (should the required property not be available, changed dates etc). A booking reference will need to be auto-allocated

The confirmation form should include the following additional information, some of which is currently available from our Access database and some from a Word document;

Free text area should be included for our comments re checking-in times, evening meal requirement etc.

We would like a stats analyser to be built into the site, so that we can track which accommodations and areas are receiving the most hits, where visitors are coming from, what percentage of hits on the accommodation pages are resulting in enquiries etc.

Recommend a B&B/hotel form

Visitors can recommend B&Bs to us through this form which should include;
