Dear Tim,

Attached are the PostScript files we've been sent (they are the .txt
files). I can use Ghostscript/Ghostview to look at them and covert them
to plain text (fine, no problem) or PDF (not fine - looks crap - see the
attached test.PDF for an example).

Ghostview can be found at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/index.html if
you want it (if you haven't already got it).

Also attached are the HTML files I've already knocked together (mostly
cannibalizing their pages so don't blame me if the codes crap). This is
sort of how we'd envisage it looking but we are open to suggestions.

What we'd want from you is a PostScript to HTML coverter (and a
PostScript to PDF converter as well if it looks good enough). Also the
automated email alerting service I mentioned last time and the security
password stuff. On this front, have you got any
preferences/reccommendations for the database you'd want the subscribers
info kept in? They seem pretty open to suggestions about it.

Ideally we'd prefer to be able to work from the PostScript files and do
the converting to PDF ourselves as this means we could do the work at
the same time as the printer and have the stuff on the web as soon as
the journals are ready to go out (or before even).

We'd also like to be able to either handle futre issues ourselves or
else be able to teach them how to do it - they're not sure which way
they'd like to go yet.

Hope this is enough info but let me know if you need more.

We also have another 3 leads for doing the same sort of stuff - journals
onto the web with full search etc etc. Two of these would be in Quark
but I don't know about the other. More info on them as it comes -
hopefully some Quark files should be on their way/coming soon.

Right, now down to the important stuff!!!

Where were your Glastonbury pics? I went to your site late Sunday night
but couldn't find any! You also need to check your picture links as the
'98 pics didn't seem to be there (in your gallery thingy).

Sally said Dylan and Tony Bennet were great - don't suppose they were
your cup of tea though were they?

I hear it was a little bit muddy as well. Never mind.

David
